Based off the khan academy video, it seems to me that shadowing is when a subject is presented with simultaneous information in either ear, and they must use their selective attention ability to attend to one ear.
How is that the case in this experiment? In the passage, it says that different information was played in both ears, but "Digits were never presented simultaneously"

Given that shadowing tasks are used to study selective attention, it just makes more sense that any experiment...
