I am confused about this questions.

1. Shouldn't the equation in the solutions be [Na]in/[Na]out? Why are they using it the other way around?

Here is the equation that I got from my textbook:

2. Why do we have to calculate the G value and then get the ratio for glucose concentrations. Since this is the case of cotransport and we know that for every 2Na+ in, 1 glucose is also transported in, why can't we take 2x ratio for Na+?
