I guess my problem is distinguishing/using the difference between gram units listed on the periodic table and the gram units listed in a problem. For example,
How many moles are in a 46g sample of Na?
So sodium's atomic weight is 23 amu. So within that 46 grams there are 2 moles of sodium?
2 moles means I have 12.022 x 10^23 Na atoms?
Atomic weight is not actually a weight but a mass standard compared to carbon atoms?
I know this is basic stuff, but my goal is to develop more...
