pH and pKa

"pH depends on the amount of acid in solution whereas pKa does not"

Can someone explain this statement using the equations?

I am confused because the equations for both pH and pKa involve the acid concentration values.

pH = -log [H+], [H+] is related to [HA]

pKa = -log ([H+][A-]/[HA])
