Why is it that using a more polar solvent leads to greater movement of the spots in general? I learned this from chads video but I still don't understand. For example, if you have something nonpolar like butane wouldn't a more nonpolar solvent be better at moving the spot?
I heard that if you use a solvent that is not polar enough, the rf values will be too low for all spots.
